Organizing a Race

Well we've been busting ass to make this thing happen. The Tumbleweed express that is. The idea of organizing a race is rather fun especially when it begins to manifest itself. I have a new found respect for organizers and what they have to deal with. Building a road is easy, marketing the event is easy. It's all the stupid little important stuff like insurance, waiviers and what not that make it difficult.

Everyone in the Colorado Rally Crew has been working hard to make this event work and I've been rather impressed with how well we've all worked together. When there was a small job to do, someone was there to take it. It's too bad there was a bunch of hype around a large blizzard that never really happened. God damn media always needs a story. So "good Job" to everyone who helped with the event. And thank you every one who tried to race this weekend and of course all the volunteers who were willing to show. We had a total of 17 entries which is impressive for a small american rally. Better luck next time.
